Pictured, The Best Way Inn (4302 W. Doolin) parking lot with law enforcement authorities after the body of Deepkuner Bhakta, 25, was discovered Monday night.
Bhakta is listed as the property manager according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). The death has been classified as a homicide by the OSBI but the manner and cause of death has not been released as of Tuesday.
The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner will make that determination. The OSBI is also involved in the investigation of the death of Pennie Shoebridge, 54, of San Antonio, Tex. , that has been linked to the homicide in Blackwell. Shoebridge was found in a rollover accident on Interstate 35 south of Stillwater Monday night.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident report indicates Shoebridge was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the van she was driving. The report also indicates a strong presence of alcohol in the vehicle.
The van has been impounded and a search warrant was being applied for Tuesday morning in Payne County. The investigations are ongoing according to the OSBI.
