Susan was born and raised in Ponca City. Her childhood revolved around the family farm, raising cattle and riding horses. After high school she went to college at Oklahoma State University to get her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She took course work to fulfill both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Once Susan graduated she was hired by Dr. Dorothy Young to start the PreK program in Blackwell. Susan has taught PreK for 21 years and is still very passionate about her career choice.
