Kay Electric Youth Tour contest offers travel, friends, and fun

If you have a high school junior who loves to travel and meet new friends, please encourage them to enter Kay Electric’s Youth Tour essay contest. Eight finalists are selected from schools in KEC service territory. Each finalist wins a valuable prize:

Top scoring boy and girl participate in the electric cooperative Youth Tour in Washington D.C., June 14-20, 2019

Boy and girl runners-up will attend Co-op Youth Leadership Camp in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, July 12-18, 2019.

Third and fourth place boy and girl finalists win cash prizes.

The essay contest is open to all high school juniors attending school in the Kay Electric service territory.

Kay Electric offers a similar essay contest for eighth grade students interested in attending YouthPower Energy Camp. The camp will be held May 28-31 at Canyon Camp near Hinton, Oklahoma.

Kay Electric Cooperative pays all expenses for Youth Tour, Youth Leadership Camp, and Energy Camp.
