Clara was born to Samuel Goerge Clinkingbeard and Dollie Lucille (Dockery) Clinkingbeard. She grew up in the Blackwell and Braman area and attended school there. Clara had six children; Steve Davis, Donnie Davis, Clara Smith, Teresa Marshall, Charles Gormley and Kevin Gormley.
Clara had 19 grandchildren; David, Daniel, Tanya, Sonya Davis, Sylvia Coyle, Jared Marshall, Dewayne Smith, Alicia Creek, Kevin and Ambrasia Gormley, Talea, Takeelah, Treniti, Caldwell, Shiela, Cierra and Cody Friend, Molly, Sammy and Skylee Gormley. Three great grandchildren, Alexis Hightower, Daelin Davis and Emery Coyle.
Clara was one of 12 children to Samuel and Dollie; Melvin, Lawrence, John Henry, Tommy, Lyle, Ester Parker, Mary, EllaNora (Calkin), Ruth Snow, Blanche, and Marie Snow.
Clara is survived by two nieces: Frances Holloway, and Dorothy Perez, and two nephews, Bradley Snow and Homer Parker.
Clara is preceded by her parents, Samuel and Dollie Clinkingbeard, siblings Melvin, Lawrence, John Henry, Tommy, Lyle, Ester, Mary, Ella Nora, Ruth and Blanche, one granddaughter Sonya Davis, daughter Clara Smith, niece Janet Combs and nephew Junior Parker.
