Virginia Angle

Virginia “Virgie” Purificacion Angle, passed away on February 14, 2019, in the Integris Bass Baptist Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years.

Virgie Angle was born June 25, 1958, in Cabanatuan City, Philippines, to Leonardo and Luisa (Sardillo) Purificacion. She was the eldest daughter of nine children. Her siblings are Eduardo, Benjamin, Rollie, Alexander, Flordaleza, Rowena, Eliseo and Michael. Following her schooling and early career in the garment industry in the Philippines, she worked for ten years in Jamaica. In 1995, she moved to the United States where she met and married Andy Angle on November 5, 1995. She worked for fourteen years for Cupid Intimates in Blackwell where she was well liked and respected for her strong work ethic and integrity. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, sewing, promoting Mary Kay products and riding motorcycles. Other hobbies include gardening, traveling and caring for her pets.

The family wishes to express special recognition and thanks to Virgie’s beloved friends and extended family in our Filipino Community.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Angle of Blackwell, her mother, Luisa of the Philippines, two daughters; Luzviminda Ong (husband Merville Salac) of Dubai, and Andrea Angle of Stillwater, two sons; Teodily Ong (wife Mary Jane) of Dubai, and Britton Angle (wife Taylor) of Blackwell. Her four grandchildren are John Lord Ong, Misha Salac, Cassandra Jessie Ong and Matthew Salac. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonardo and brother, Michael.

A prayer service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 18th at the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass is set for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Blackwell with Father Ben Lwin officiating. Burial will follow at the Blackwell Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers will be Tim Urban, Ronnie Williams, Jeff Love, Roger Sharp, Mike Smyth and David Corn. Honorary casket bearers will be Ernie Greenfield, Jack Minor and Troy Rowe.

A memorial has been established in her honor with St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
