NOC establishes Steichen Scholarship for vocal, music theatre, or band

The Northern Oklahoma College Foundation, Inc. acknowledges the establishment of the Steichen Family Music Scholarship Fund.

Through the generous support of the Steichen family, the establishment of this permanently restricted endowment will assist students participating in vocal, music theatre or instrumental music on the Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa campus.

Bob and Margaret have been loyal supporters of Northern Oklahoma College and the Fine Arts program. Bob worked at Northern for over twenty years and all six of their children are Northern alumni. It is the Steichen family’s wish to assist students pursuing their educational goals at Northern.

Qualifications of the scholarship includes: Online application must be made with the Scholarship office at NOC Tonkawa to be considered for this scholarship; the recipient must participate in vocal, music theatre or instrumental music; and the recipient must be full-time and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher.

Applicants must also submit a short essay addressing the following: “Discuss a specific event or performance that continues to inspire you.”
