Homecoming will be held Sept. 27, and Blackwell's hotels are opening up their doors to those returning home to see classmates, friends, and family members during the annual celebration.

Blackwell Holiday Inn Express's executive head of housekeeping, Courtney Rogers, said her hotel is open and ready to welcome visitors.

“We have an incredibly rich, friendly atmosphere with exceptionally clean rooms and a dedicated staff,” said Rogers. “We provide standard rooms and suites with a nice country view, plus we're located right across the street from Casey's, which is open 24/7.”

“We're steadily very busy during Homecoming,” Rogers said. “We rely on feedback – positive and negative – to craft a better experience than ever for our guests. We still have rooms available and can't wait to welcome Blackwell's alumni.”

Holiday Inn offers a free breakfast beginning each day at 5 a.m. The hotel boasts a gym and a pool, which is open from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Holiday Inn is offering regular rooms for $99 per night and suites for $109 per night. The hotel, located at 827 S. 44th Street, can be reached by calling 580-363-1700.

Blackwell's Best Western Inn, located at 4545 White Ave., is described as “the place to be” for Homecoming by Belinda Compala, the hotel’s sales director.

“We're known for our welcoming atmosphere at Best Western, and guests who come to town every year know the kind of top-notch experience we provide,” she said. “Homecoming attendees staying with us get goodie bags, copies of the Blackwell Journal-Tribune's Homecoming issue, and spaces available to rent for get-togethers. We’re usually booked for Homecoming, so calling ahead is definitely recommended.”

According to Compala, Best Western’s pool is open from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily. The hotel offers an “amazing complimentary breakfast” of “breads, cereal, fruit, hot eggs, sausage, hot breakfast meat, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, juice, and coffee.”

Best Western, managed by Jynda Murray, is an award-winning hotel with 122 rooms. The hotel is offering rooms at a rate of $59.99 per night and can be reached by calling 580-363-1300.

Econo Lodge, also managed by Murray, is offering rooms for $45 per night. The hotel has a meeting area that will be available for Homecoming gatherings, and it also has a pool and free Wi-Fi. The Econo Lodge has received several gold and platinum awards in the past from Choice Hotels.

“The Econo Lodge has 60 clean and inviting rooms with an exceptional and friendly staff, and we're always looking forward to Homecoming out here,” said Murray.

The Super 8 Motel, located at 1014 West Doolin, is offering rooms for $45 per night.

Jaimie Wood, the hotel’s front desk clerk, said the hotel is ready to accommodate guests for Homecoming.

“We're located right in the heart of Blackwell,” Wood said. “We're right across from Walmart and right between several restaurants. Guests that stay with us get a Snap Fitness card for the duration of their stay, and we provide free laundry service as well. We have a delicious breakfast every morning, and a staff that is always all smiles.”
