by Charles Gerian

The ticket-sales deadline for the Blackwell Area Chamber of Commerce’s 50 Guns in 50 Days Raffle has been extended through November 1. The odds of winning – one in 10 – will remain the same, according to Chamber officials.

Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber’s office, located at 120 S. Main. They may also be purchased at: Bubba’s Outdoor Sports, located at 515 W. Doolin Ave.; City Hall, located at 221 W. Blackwell Ave.; and Gose Jewelers, located at 111 North Main St. In addition, tickets may be purchased from any Chamber board member.

The Chamber is selling a total of 500 tickets, and each ticket costs $100. So far, 200 tickets have been sold, according to Chamber officials.

Winners will be contacted by the Chamber, and they will have 30 days to pick up the winning item from Bubba's Outdoor Sports. If not claimed within 30 days, prizes will be forfeited, according to the Chamber.

Entrants must be 21 years old or older.

Shotguns, lever-action rifles, revolvers, and pistols are some of the types of guns that will be raffled.

The winners of the raffle must pay a $20 transfer fee at Bubba’s, and they must pay any filing fees or shipping costs that are incurred.

All winners of firearms must fill out ATF Form 4473 and pass the NICS background check upon claiming their firearms. If the winner fails the NICS background check, he or she will forfeit the prize awarded. No refunds, substitutions, or assignments will be allowed.

The list of guns to be raffled can be found at Bubba’s. It is also available on the Chamber’s official website, and on the Chamber’s social media profiles. Some of the pieces include a Century Arms RH-10 AK-47, a lever-action Henry Sidegate lever-action 30-30, a Winchester JXP Compact 12-gauge shotgun, and a Beretta M9A3 9mm.

The Chamber is open weekdays 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
