by Jordan Green

The Blackwell High School Music Department’s annual “Mingle & Jingle” fundraiser will be held Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Blackwell High School Study Center. Doors to the event will open at 5:45 p.m.

Student musicians from the school’s band and choirs will provide musical entertainment, and dinner will be served.

According to Blackwell High School Band Director J Wayne Hudson, this is the 11th year for the annual event.

Tickets cost $25 each.

Interested parties may also sponsor a table for $100. A sign will be put on the table to reserve it, and two tickets to the event will be included in the cost of sponsorship. To make a sponsorship, contact Melissa Hudson, director of the Top of Oklahoma Museum, at 580-363-0209.

Proceeds from the event support the music program, fund a scholarship for a graduating high school senior pursuing music in college, and help pay for trips the department takes students on.

Tickets may be purchased at the Blackwell Chamber of Commerce, located at 120 S. Main St.; the Top of Oklahoma Museum, located at 303 S. Main St.; Stride Bank, located at 102 N. Main St.; BancFirst, located at 101 N. Main St.; and RCB Bank, located at 1350 W. Doolin Ave.
