Kay Electric donates $1,200 for Youth Center computers

January 30, 2020

The K-UP Board met on Monday, January 20 to review the submitted grant applications. Out of the eight applications received, the Board awarded grants to the following organizations:

Blackwell Youth Center $1,258 for two new computers

Kildare Fire Department $2,142.96 for new emergency equipment

Enter His Gates Foundation $1,830 for a new electric line to camp

K-UP Foundation is supported by Kay Electric members who voluntarily round up their electric bills to the next dollar, donating the few cents difference to the foundation. Utility bill roundup programs help support rural fire departments and charities who are often operating on a limited budget.
