Looking Back- Thinking Forward: The world today and Blackwell

Looking Back – Thinking Forward

Is your head spinning? We’ve sure had a lot on our minds these last few months haven’t we? There has been a lot of local and national news breaks that needs to be examined very carefully. Read on:

We need to be careful to not bend to some outside sources – especially if they don’t sound stable. (This goes for those tele-marketing calls too!) You can be a prophet in your own little world. Your voice could help someone get out of a rut!

Remember Moses was an 80 year old man and said, “Let my people go” in Egypt!! His people were freed! Fear of the future and lack of unity are sadly linked. Your voice and your vote can work to reduce both of these hold-backs.

Will you lift your voice when you know something is right or wrong? I surely hope so. A lot is at stake both locally and nationally, and everyone needs to study the issues carefully and make wise decisions.

Let’s make a renewed pledge to not take our local assets for granted. I especially mean our local businesses, our schools, churches and civic groups. And that goes for our local newspaper too.

We want to thank our many loyal readers for sticking with us through these trying times, it is good to hear from you good people. Thank you for your encouraging words.
Now, for another notable quote! “No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on and it will be better tomorrow”. (Maya Angelow)

And, “Smile awhile. The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.” Also, “Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable!”
Please remember, call someone this week that you haven’t heard from lately and be kind to everyone!

P.S. You bet I’m still Boosting for a Better Blackwell and Oklahoma! Don’t we have the most beautiful Braum’s building in Oklahoma?
