Leon McConnell

The Memorial Service Celebrating and Honoring the life of Leon Jay McConnell, 81, of Blackwell, is pending. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Enid Cremation Service.

Leon was born June 27, 1938, to Clifford G and Pauline (Heffron) McConnell in Blackwell, OK and passed from this life on June 15, 2020 in Blackwell.

Leon was raised and educated in Blackwell he worked many years as an electrician until his retirement in 2004. Leon was a history buff, specifically WWII, he enjoyed being an OU Football fan, dancing, Ford mustangs, and motorcycles, especially a loud Harley!

Leon is survived by his sons Jimmy L. McConnell and wife Patty, of Maize, KS, Mark A. McConnell, of Blackwell, and Kenneth L. McConnell, of Douglasville, TX; six grandchildren, Jill McConnell, Oklahoma City, Crystal Burge and husband Kenneth, Phoenix, Az, Rachel Vowell and husband Trevor, Blackwell, Elaine Okelley and husband Nathan, Sapulpa, Ronnie McConnell, Blackwell and Kyle McConnell, Hominy; Ten Great-Grandchildren; One brother Clifford Duane McConnell, of Blackwell; one Sister Chris D. Angelino and husband Tony, of Edmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ronald E. McConnell and one son, Timothy R. McConnell.
