Gerald Ingram

Gerald “Gerry” Ingram, of Braman, Oklahoma, passed away early Saturday morning, October 10, 2020 at his home, surrounded by family, at the age of 73 years.

Gerry Warren Ingram was born on March 28, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Jack Warren Ingram and Frances Rose (Lanie) Ingram. He grew up in Wichita, graduating from Wichita Heights High School. He participated in many activities, including State Wrestling.

Gerry married Vicki Vandermeer on February 7, 1970 in Wichita, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include children, Lonnie Ingram, and wife Suzy, Michele Barlow, and husband Ted, and Sean Ingram, and wife Kristi; grandchildren, Bradly Ingram (Nicole), Steven Ingram, Patrick Ingram (Andressa), Nicholas Ingram (Courtney), Ryan Ingram, Austin Barlow (Kelsi), Ashton Barlow-Cowling (Brandon), Paige Ingram, Blake Ingram; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Lonnie, Anna, Annelise; and a brother, John “Jack” Ingram.

Gerry will be remembered as an incredibly hard worker, always leading by example. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and did not know a stranger. No matter where he went, he always managed to find someone that he knew. He loved to give everyone in his life a hard time.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, as well as the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge.

Gerry coached baseball and T-Ball for many years, was a huge sports fan, and an avid golfer. He achieved a hole-in-one at age 70.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, October 15, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at Roberts and Son Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Blackwell. Burial will follow at Braman Cemetery. To honor Gerry’s love of coaching the funeral procession will stop by the baseball fields in Blackwell and Braman prior to laying him to rest in Braman Cemetery.

Pall Bearers will be Bradly Ingram, Steven Ingram, Patrick Ingram, Nicholas Ingram, Ryan Ingram, Austin Barlow, Blake Ingram and Brandon Cowling.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Ashton Barlow, Paige Ingram, Nicole Ingram, Kelsi Barlow, Courtney Ingram, and Andressa Ingram.
