Charges dismissed against Circle; Wynn due back December 1

by Mike Monahan

Former Ponca City wrestling coach Justice Circle, 24, had his two felony charges dismissed on August 19 in Kay County District Court. The charges were for lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16 and soliciting sexual conduct with a minor by technology.

The state prosecutor moved for the dismissal because the victim no longer wanted to prosecute. The charges were first brought in September 2020. Circle along with Jared Wynn and Dylan Schickram were all wrestling coaches at Ponca City High School at the time of the incident.

Schickram had his two felony allegations of rape in the first or second degree and a felony for soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by technology dismissed in March by the state prosecutor because the victim also was unwilling to seek prosecution. All court costs were also dismissed at the request of the state.

Wynn who is charged with two misdemeanors, one for harassment by use of electronic device and a second one for permitting invitees under 21 to possess or consume alcohol or controlled dangerous substances is the only one that still has an active case. Wynn is due back in court December 1
