Joshua David Anderson

November 02, 2021

Joshua David Anderson lived and breathed music until his passing on Friday October 22, 2021 at the young age of 37. He first discovered his passion for music and was artistically gifted at an early age. Luckily, he also found the perfect group of best friends with shared interests in creating, drawing, painting art and who were also talented musicians. These best friends grew up to be men, brothers & family. That’s how Josh lived his life, spending time with his friends doing what they were passionate about.

Josh was born to Monty and Donna Anderson on April 17, 1984. He graduated from Blackwell High School in 2002. He furthered his education starting in the Fall of 2005 at Northern Oklahoma College and graduated in 2007 with an associate degree in Arts and an associate degree in Applied Science, which he was very proud of.

Josh was a very Intelligent Man, with a unique personality and a sometimes-questionable sense of humor. He could make just about anyone laugh until they cried. He also was very stubborn like an “Anderson” as well. He used his creativity daily, including food, growing a garden and making some delicious and eye-catching meals. His talent was beyond measure.

Josh is Survived by his mother Donna Anderson-Casey, his little sister Jessica Anderson, his older sister Monica Anderson, brother Brandon Anderson, nephew Jarred Burton, niece Hannah Boyer and great-nephew Laiden Meyers, and the brothers he had chosen himself, Jared Criner, Jonathan McClain and Justin Robertson.

Josh was a caregiver to his father until his passing on October 23, 2020.

Wherever Josh may be, he is going to play his music loud and give you a kick, punch, headbutt.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday November 6th from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.in Blackwell, OK at 220 20th street. (There will be signs.)
