Blackwell Library hosting book sale

The Blackwell Public Library will host a used book sale beginning this week. The sale will take place in the library’s basement, where hundreds of books have been laid out to be sold for $1 per bag of books, said Lisa Vargas, the head librarian.

Customers can come in, collect a paper sack and fill the sack with books. The library, 123 W. Padon Ave., has books of several genres for sale, including science-fiction, fantasy, romance and thrillers. Children’s books, cookbooks, historical textbooks and books translated into Spanish are also available.

Money raised to purchase new items and fund programs and projects for the community. The library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday
