Blackwell Walmart now offering car-side delivery

by Charles Gerian

Just in time for the holidays, Blackwell’s Walmart has officially launched its online pickup and delivery program, store officials said Friday.

The new system will allow Walmart customers to log in to the Walmart website or the Walmart app and select a time slot. They can shop for their items online. Then, when they’re finished, customers will submit their orders.

One of the store’s three pickup and delivery workers will do the in-store shopping, confirm it and then deliver the goods to the customer’s car outside in one of the designated parking spots.

Shoppers will check in with the Walmart app to let the store know they’re on the way. If a customer doesn't have the Walmart app, the customer can call the store directly.

While curbside delivery for medications was offered during the pandemic, Blackwell’s Walmart did not offer the full online pickup experience that most other locations, including Ponca City, did.

More information can be found at www.walmart.com or by calling the Blackwell store at 580-363-4111.

Blackwell’s Walmart is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The pharmacy is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed on Sundays. The photo development center in the store is operational from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
