Wade Lewis Dunagan

Wade Lewis Dunagan, 63, of Blackwell, Oklahoma died Sunday January 9, 2022, at the Stillwater Medical Center from cardiac arrest.

He was born on January 13, 1958, on Jasper Hill in Jones, Oklahoma to William and Reva Brooker Dunagan. In 1972, Wade enlisted in the National Guard and served six years for his country. He then went on to work in the oilfield industry for most of his work career. He did take a break and worked for Glass Trucking Company while obtaining his own truck to use. Wade then went on and worked for Mercer trucking for five years. He finished his career with what he knew best and loved working for SPS for ten years in the oilfield industry.

Wade met the love of his life and married Deborah Pope November 6, 1976. She survives of the home. They had two children, Shane Dunagan (Carole) of Tonkawa and Lee Winters (Brian) of Lucien. He has eight grandchildren, Neisa, Blaine, Ala, Ashton, Wade, Austin, Colt and Brittnee. The joy of recent was his great-grandson Ryker and great granddaughter Kya along with Cam and Kambree.

Wade is also survived by three sisters and three brothers: Fay Buzzell (Ronnie) of Guthrie, Wanda Buzzell of Topeka, KS, Connie Dunagan of Perry, Wayne Dunagan, Warren Dunagan and Wally Dunagan all of Perry OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brothers William and Walter Dunagan.

Memorial services will be at the Blackwell Museum Banquet Room on January 14, 2022 at 11:00 am.
