Earl Alan Ellis

Earl Alan Ellis was born August 9, 1954 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to parents Earl L. Ellis and L. Marie Ellis-Robinson. Alan passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, on November 30, 2021 in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

His Celebration of Life service will be held at the Lone Chimney Community Center on December 10, 2021 at 2:30 P.M.

Alan was raised in Blackwell, Oklahoma with his older sister Donna and two younger brothers, Tom and Greg. He attended Blackwell High School and then pursued a career in the Oil Industry, where he worked in project management for 47 years. Once retired, Alan returned to his home in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

He was a hardworking man, a devoted father and grandfather. He deeply cherished time with his family and friends. He loved spending holidays and special occasions with the people he loved.

Alan was commonly known as an entertainer. He loved making others laugh until they cried. He was also known as a handyman, cowboy, jokester and a friend to all.

In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, talking on the phone, attending Pawnee sporting events, traveling, spending time on the farm, playing cards, cooking, watching movies and smoking the ‘occasional’ cigar.

Alan Ellis was preceded in death by his grandparents Roy and Sibyl Angle and Cecil L. and Alta E. Ellis; father Earl L. Ellis, sisters Donna Ellis-Quinn and Angela Robinson; brother Jeff Robinson; Uncles Merle Angle, Jack Angle and Ted Ellis.

He is survived by his parents Ray and Marie Robinson; daughters Kristyn Ellis-Jones and Kimberlee Ellis; grandchildren, Brandon Ellis, Kamille Ellis-King; bonus grandchild Emmalee Schultz; siblings Tom Ellis, Greg Ellis, Greg Robinson, Tim Robinson and Brad Robinson and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Alan sincerely cherished the close friendships of Jack and Pam Ware, Ted Ellis, Ron and Rita Crawford, Dale and Jimmy Tanner and many more.

Alan, Son, Brother, Dad, Papa Alan… we will miss you dearly, until we meet again.

Alan will be laid to rest in Byron-Amorita, Oklahoma on December 11, 2021.
