OPENING STATEMENT “TROUBLING TIMES”

In a recent study group of friends, it was discussed about the past few months being some of the most troubling times in our lifetime.

Read on: The “COVID” years being the main culprit, many other areas are much worse than ours. Inflation is taking a toll on millions of families. There is no true measurement on schools being affected. Our beloved churches have suffered too! The list could go on and on but let us stop and consider our options for the future.

We still have our friends and neighbors and several good businesses to serve us. Let us pledge to be loyal customers, and by all means, do not forget to check on and visit those who live alone or the elderly.

PROVERBS 8-35: For whoever finds me, finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.”

DAYLE VERB: Give a gift that keeps on giving, your sincere love and appreciation.

P R E S I D E N T I A L POINT: “The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” (Abe Lincoln)

POSITIVE POINT: There are two ways to meet most difficulties, you can try to alter the problem or alter yourself.

NOTABLE QUOTE: Friendships multiply joy and divide grief. (HG Bahn)

PASTOR’S POINT: “No matter who you are, you just get a little slice of the world. Have you ever seen a hearse followed by a U-Haul?” (Billy Graham)

OLD SAME COMMENT: Let’s make 2022 the year for positive change in our respective communities.

We need to stick together and build on hope.

The BJT stands ready to help boost our area. P.S. Don’t forget our “furry friends” too!!
