Tammy Neal

Tammy L. Neal, age 54, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 4th, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.

Tammy was born on July 12th, 1967 in De Queen, Arkansas to Bruce Burleson and Ruby (Plunk) Davis. She was raised in Blackwell, Oklahoma where she graduated from Blackwell High School.

Tammy and Mike Neal were united in marriage on July 28th, 1984 in Blackwell, Oklahoma at the Church of Christ. They relocated to Wellington, Kansas in the summer of 1997.

Tammy worked as a paraprofessional for USD 353 at the Middle School for over 20 years. She loved to bake with her grandson's, especially for the holidays. Her favorite hobbies included reading and online shopping.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bruce Burleson.

Survivors include her husband Mike Neal of Wellington, Kansas; son, Jeff Neal of Wellington, Kansas; daughter, Latisha Neal of Wellington, Kansas; grandson's: Nicholas and Kaison Rodgers; mother, Ruby Davis of Blackwell, Oklahoma; sister, Tina and Dennis Stone of Blackwell, Oklahoma; sister, Becky and Paul Kenyon of South Carolina; brother, Rodney Burleson of Blackwell, Oklahoma; brother, Mikel Burleson of Hutchinson, Kansas; brother, Richard and Shady Burleson of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a memorial service for Tammy at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 at the Church of Christ in Wellington, Kansas.
