The Sweet Spot to raise Blackwell band tomorrow; Teachers until Monday
The Sweet Spot Bakery, Blackwell’s newest dining experience, is helping teachers and Blackwell’s band with two fundraising opportunities.
Tomorrow, Thursday, August 10, The Sweet Spot will be holding a “Band Preview Night” at 7 p.m. at the bakery located on 4408 west Doolin.
10 percent of that evening’s sales will go towards the band’s Alamo Bowl trip.
The band will also be performing.
Currently, customers can buy a raffle ticket for $1 and be entered into a drawing for a pie of their choice as well as a $30 gift card to the bakery.
The ticket money will go towards a randomly selected teacher at one of Blackwell’s school sites to be spent on supplies.
The raffle and teacher fundraiser will end next Monday, August 14.
All teachers and school staff from any surrounding town also get a discount with any purchase.
When the business opened over the summer, owner Amee Sweeten stated it was always her goal to help and give back to the Blackwell community.
