Board of Education: Blackwell Football Coach Parker resigns

The Blackwell Board of Education met Monday night to accept the resignations of Lanny Jobe as district bus driver and Brent Parker, Blackwell High School’s football coach for the last 3 years.

The board also received a special presentation from the Blackwell Middle School Student Council group representatives Mason Young and Madeline Pope.

The meeting lasted just under an hour. On Parker’s resignation, Blackwell Superintendant Shawn Haskins stated that they had over 14 applicants already vying for the position.
