Poncan Theater and Tonkawa HUB offering free summer movies

Families looking to beat the heat this summer while catching a free movie can do so at both the historic Poncan Theater in Ponca City and the Tonkawa Tribe’s HUB in Tonkawa where both venues are showing  slew of family-friendly cinematic offerings for the unbeatable price of, well, free. 

Located on 104 E. Grand in Ponca, the Poncan Theater will be showing their free summer movies on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. 

So far the theater has shown “The Wild Robot” and “Abominable” on May 20 and May 27. 

The Poncan will show “Spirit Untamed” on June 3, “Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit” on June 10, “Kung-Fu Panda 4” on June 17, “The Garfield Movie” on June 14, “Harold and the Purple Crayon” on July 1, Hotel Transylvania 3” on July 8, “The Angry Birds Movie 2” on July 15, “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2” on July 22, and “Smurfs: The Lost Village” on July 29. 

At The HUB, located at the Tonkawa Casino off I-35 and Highway 60, their summer films will be as follows, all being shown weekdays Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. for free.

From June 2 through June 6 The HUB will be showing “Sonic The Hedgehog 3” followed by “The Bad Guys” June 9 - 13, “Despicable Me 4” June 16-20, and finishing out the month with “The Wild Robot” June 23-27 as well as “Migration” from June 30 - July 4. 

July through August will see The HUB show “Kung Fu Panda 4” July 7-11, “The Garfield Movie” July 14-18, “Paddington in Peru” July 21-25, and finishing their free summer movies strong with the box-office smash hit “A Minecraft Movie” July 28- August 1.
