Deanna Lynn Whitman died on June 6, 2025, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years.
Deanna Lynn Whitman was born on April 5, 1954, to Carmon May and Dorthy McClain, in Blackwell,
Oklahoma. She attended Blackwell Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1972. Upon
completion of High School she attended Northern Oklahoma College. She was married to Gary Whitman.
Deanna worked for TG&Y until it closed. She was then hired by Wal-mart and was the first female
manager to open a Super Center, which was in Florida. After retiring from Wal-mart, she practiced
accounting until retiring in 2011. She loved doing ceramics, reading books spending time with her
grandsons.
Deanna is survived by her daughter, Lisa Flores of Blackwell; and grandsons, Lonnie Flores, Jr of
Orlando, Florida, and Joseph Flores of Mustang, Oklahoma.
She was proceded in death by her parents; one sister, Linda Sue May; and three brothers, Ronnie May,
Paul May and Ricky May.
Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Blackwell Cemetery
with Pastor Mark Meador officiating.
A memorial has been established with the Blackwell First Baptist Church care of Roberts and Son Funeral
