Bakers Wanted for Kay County Free Fair’s Best of Wheat Contest

The Kay County Free Fair is calling on bakers of all skill levels to show off their bread-making talents in the upcoming Best of Wheat Bread Baking Contest, sponsored by the Oklahoma Wheat Commission.

The contest, which features both junior and senior divisions with various classes, is open to everyone—from seasoned pros to first-time bread bakers. Participants are encouraged to bring their best loaves for a chance to claim the title of “Best of Wheat.”

Entries will be accepted at the Kay County Fairgrounds in Blackwell on Monday, Sept. 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
