Blackwell Middle School Launches Perfect Attendance Recognition Program
Blackwell Middle School is placing a renewed emphasis on the importance of consistent attendance and has announced a new way to honor students who show up every day, on time, with no early dismissals.
The school’s Perfect Attendance classification is defined as being present daily, arriving on time, and not leaving early. Administrators say that attendance is a key factor in academic success and that the program is designed to encourage students to be ready to learn every day.
Each month, students who achieve perfect attendance will be treated to a small snack and break in recognition of their dedication. The celebration will take place on the first school day of each new month. Students must have no tardies or absences to qualify, with the only exceptions being for school events in which they participate.
Every nine weeks, those who maintain perfect attendance for the entire quarter will be rewarded with a special treat, such as a pizza party. Again, eligibility requires no missed days or early departures.
Each month, the names of perfect attendance achievers will be displayed in the school cafeteria.
Blackwell Middle School staff thanked families for their support in helping students develop strong attendance habits, saying the program is another step toward building a culture of commitment and success.
A healthy Kay County requires great community news.
