The Stack Restaurant Extends Helping Hand Amid Federal Program Cuts
With potential federal program reductions such as SNAP (food stamps) set to take effect this month, one local restaurant is stepping up to make sure no one in Blackwell goes hungry.
The Stack Restaurant, located at 1423 South Main Street across from the high school parking lot, is continuing its “Pay It Forward” meal program—an initiative fueled entirely by the generosity of its customers.
“Thanks to our customers, we’re able to help members of the Blackwell community who can’t afford a meal,” said The Stack’s management. “As long as there are prepaid meal tickets available, anyone in need can come in and eat for free—no questions asked.”
The program works through community participation. Diners who are able can purchase extra meal tickets, which are then used to cover the cost of meals for those facing financial hardship.
“During these hard times, if you’re able to contribute to the program, please do so,” the restaurant added. “We greatly appreciate your kindness and your effort to help others. This is America—people should not be starving.”
The Stack is open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with fried foods available after 11 a.m.).

As the restaurant summed up, “We thank you for your everyday support and appreciate your business. Together, we can make a difference.”
