Blackwell Public Schools Recognizes Teachers of the Year

Blackwell Public Schools has announced its Teachers of the Year for the district’s three campuses, recognizing educators who have made a significant impact on students both inside and outside the classroom.
At Blackwell High School, Bart Cox was honored as Teacher of the Year. District officials say Cox continues to make a lasting impression on students through his dedication to teaching practical skills and serving as a positive role model for the school’s Maroons.
At Blackwell Elementary School, Tami Estep received the honor for her work with the district’s youngest learners. Estep is recognized for helping students build strong educational foundations while encouraging a love of learning that will benefit them throughout their academic careers.
Meanwhile, at Blackwell Middle School, Ashlynn Schuermann was selected as Teacher of the Year. School officials say Schuermann inspires and supports students during the important transitional years of middle school, guiding them with patience and care.
District leaders praised all three educators for their commitment to students and the community.
Blackwell Public Schools officials noted that the district is fortunate to have passionate, hardworking, and compassionate teachers who invest daily in the success and growth of their students.
