Dayle Says: "people have used COVID-19 as an excuse"

by Dayle McGaha

O P E N I N G STATEMENT:

We are going to start our column by Boosting Blackwell.

Lord only knows about our state and nation, we have had our share of concerns and worries. Read On:

We believe that a lot of people have used COVID-19 as an excuse for some of our troubles.

The national political schemes have added to our concerns. It is a different world we are living in.

That said, let us turn our thoughts to the future! It is notable that any business would startup during a pandemic, but we have two to thank in Blackwell.

#1. A dandy sparkling new Dollar Tree last week. The new gracious manager greeted hundreds of visitors. Then there is the new Fresh Meat Market in the old Ritche’s shoe location. This store too was one that is needed in Blackwell. There are other businesses we will brag on in my future columns.

PROVERBS 5-7: “Therefore hear me now, my children, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.”

DAYLE-VERB: Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a GIFT! That is why it is called the present.

POSITIVE POINT: The most important prayer in the world is just two words, long and thank you!

P R E S I D E N T I A L POINT: “The harder the conflict, the great the triumph.” (George Washington)

PASTORS POINT: During times of spiritual dryness, patiently rely on the promises of God, not your emotions. (Rick Warren)

FUNNY FACT: I learned long ago to never wrestle with a pig: you get dirty, and besides he likes it!

TID-BIT: A stranger is just a friend you haven’t met!

WISE WARNING: It would be to your advantage to help a neighbor in need.

CURIOUS QUESTION: When was the last time you paid it forward?

CLOSING COMMENT: To speak kindly does not hurt the tongue and it could certainly lift the spirits of someone today. Don’t forget to thank the clerks who wait on us.
